Ava Protocol, a Web3 automation platform, has acquired Openstory, a data streaming platform specializing in on-chain data and analytics. This acquisition, finalized earlier in the year, was funded by a mix of cash and Ava Protocol’s upcoming AP tokens.

This integration will enhance Ava Protocol’s capacity to provide precise insights into Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chain activities using real-time data streaming and analytics tools.

Founded in 2021 as Oak Network and rebranded earlier this month, Ava Protocol focuses on autonomous transaction infrastructure across multiple blockchains, currently functioning on Ethereum’s Holesky testnet. The platform processes over 1,000 automated transactions daily across 10,000+ unique wallets and plans to launch on the Ethereum mainnet soon.

Key appointments accompanying the acquisition include Vinh Nguyen, Openstory’s founder, joining as Systems Architect, and new hires Sam Shev as Head of Marketing and Scott Staton as Research and Content Lead.

Additionally, Ava Protocol recently completed a $10 million seed funding round with backing from investors like Electric Capital and Greylock Partners. This funding will support the development of an intent-centric Eigenlayer AVS for private autonomous transactions on Ethereum and beyond.
