Cryptocurrency analyst Kevin Svenson predicts that a period known as “altseason,” which signifies a phase where altcoins significantly outperform Bitcoin (BTC), is imminent. Svenson’s optimism is grounded in recent market trends observed in Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH) prices. In his latest insights shared with his 78,600 YouTube subscribers, Svenson explained that Bitcoin has broken its parabolic trend and is now consolidating, whereas Ethereum continues in an exponential trend. This pattern, he argues, indicates that altcoins will soon begin to catch up with Bitcoin’s momentum.
A key indicator Svenson focuses on is Bitcoin dominance (BTC.D), a metric that measures Bitcoin’s market capitalization relative to the overall crypto market. Historically, a downtrend in this metric signals a rising altcoin market. While Bitcoin dominance hasn’t hit a lower low yet, it has broken its trend line and is showing signs of lower highs. This development could be the precursor to altseason, according to Svenson.
Another major voice in the cryptocurrency space, Zhu Su of Three Arrows Capital, anticipates that Solana (SOL) might surge to $1,000 per unit, drawing a parallel to Ethereum’s meteoric rise in value.
