MARBLEX, a subsidiary of Netmarble, announced its strategic partnership with Immutable on June 26, 2024, in Seoul, South Korea. The partnership focuses on migrating MARBLEX’s platform to the Immutable zkEVM blockchain, powered by Polygon, specializing in gaming and NFTs. This integration aims to provide high security, scalability, and low transaction fees via zero-knowledge roll-up technology.

The collaboration includes a $20 million Ecosystem Boost Program designed to accelerate blockchain gaming by aiding Web2 game studios in transitioning to blockchain through technical and business support. This move is anticipated to enhance MARBLEX’s publishing and nurturing of games and digital content, aiming for a broader user base globally.

Immutable, known for its robust features, including the Immutable Passport and Global Orderbook, has a significant role in enhancing the MARBLEX platform. The migration involves transferring popular Netmarble titles like “Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds,” “A3: Still Alive,” and “Meta World: My City” to the Immutable zkEVM chain.

Hong Jin Pyo, CEO of MARBLEX, expressed excitement about the potential of this partnership to innovate in the global gaming market. Robbie Ferguson, President of Immutable, highlighted the importance of scaling operations in South Korea and globally, reinforcing Immutable’s leadership in the Web3 gaming industry.
